Photographer. Adventurer. Valley Girl. Dog Lover

I started Carla Anne Photography back in 2017 with one mission: to capture love stories exactly as they are, without the fluff.

I did not get into this business because I liked the wedding industry. I got into it because I am utterly obsessed with human connection, real stories and the pure joy of freezing a second in time that would otherwise be missed.

Over time, photography became less about taking pictures and more about telling stories. Stories full of emotion, personality and life. Stories that deserved to be remembered exactly as they happened.

I live for a long hike in the fresh air, a good trip away and spending time with my German Shepherd, who, for sure, is the actual boss of my house and my business.

I am absolutely horrendous at writing about myself, but I’m quite exceptional at documenting you.

Travel takes me all over the world, But no matter where I go, I will always be a Valleys girl at heart.

The older I get, the more I appreciate just how lucky I am to be from somewhere this beautiful. The Welsh countryside is in basically every photograph I take, whether I am shooting here or somewhere completely different.

I have always been drawn to stories. Not the polished versions. The real ones. The slightly messy, beautifully imperfect stories that make people who they are.  Photography became my way of preserving them. And honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else.

i love capturing weddings

A wedding day brings together all the people you love most in the world. It creates moments that can never be repeated. And somehow, all of those little moments unfold in a single day.

The hug from your grandmother. The tears during speeches. The ridiculous dance floor antics later that night. Those moments deserve more than a checklist. They deserve to be remembered honestly. That's why I do what I do.

I am open to international and destination weddings as well. For couples who want real, moody, fine-art documentary photography that actually feels like them.

KIND WORDS

“Can't recommend enough choosing Carla as your wedding photographer.

She was amazing from start to finish - super friendly, professional and just understood our vision (and was super excited about it!) straight away.”

Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision.

Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision.

You are trusting someone to preserve one of the most important days of your life. So thank you for taking the time to be here. I hope you have got a sense of not just how I work, but why I do it. If you think we would be a good fit, I would love to hear all about your plans.

The venue. The dog. The adventure.

The whole story.
